Do I need ETIAS? Free checker
Summary only, not legal advice. This checker repeats the main rules from the official EU list that we cover on this site. It doesn't cover every category. ETIAS is not operating yet and nobody can apply today. It runs in your browser; nothing you pick is sent anywhere.
Is ETIAS required yet?
No. ETIAS is not in operation and no applications are being collected. See Is ETIAS live yet.
Which countries require ETIAS?
30 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Ireland is not on the list. See who needs ETIAS.
What do I need to apply?
A passport issued within the last 10 years and valid at least 3 months beyond your planned departure, a payment card for the EUR 20 fee (unless exempt), and personal and travel details. See the ETIAS requirements checklist.
